Form echoes Tang–Song dynasty dining aesthetics over 1000 years old
Less than 1% of modern ceramicware adopts non-circular traditional dish forms
Each crescent plate takes 7+ hours of carving, glazing, and high-temp firing at 1320°C
This plate reflects the aesthetic philosophy of "slow dining with beauty." Inspired by the serene rhythm of daily meals and handcrafted with care, it offers a poetic moment at the table. The form is rooted in classical Chinese dishware while reimagined with modern refinement, embodying both legacy and lifestyle.
Every piece is individually wheel-thrown and hand-carved by skilled artisans in Longquan, then fired in high-temperature kilns to create a smooth, non-toxic glaze. The matte-finished foot prevents slipping and scratching on your tabletop.
Crafted using locally sourced Longquan porcelain clay, known for its plasticity and purity. The Meizi Green glaze—rich and translucent—is applied in multiple layers and carefully controlled in reduction kilns to achieve the soft jade-like sheen. Subtle floral carvings are etched under the glaze by hand.
This piece is produced by a heritage ceramic workshop in Longquan, a city in Zhejiang Province famed for celadon production since the Northern Song dynasty. The current makers continue the tradition with modern updates, preserving ancestral skills while meeting contemporary aesthetic and functional needs.
Rooted in Imperial Ceramic Traditions
This crescent-shaped plate draws upon the refinement of Longquan celadon ware, a historically cherished form of Chinese porcelain. Its smooth glaze and gentle silhouette echo the elegance of imperial table settings.
Crafted using principles aligned with the Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage of Longquan Celadon Firing Techniques, each dish is a quiet tribute to over a millennium of refined ceramic artistry.
