Revives Longquan celadon techniques from over 900 years ago
Matching celadon trio—cup, saucer, and spoon—found in less than 5% of kiln output
Approx. 6 hours, including hand-finishing, glazing, and accessory pairing
Inspired by Song dynasty elegance, this piece is crafted in the tradition of Longquan celadon — one of China’s Five Great Kilns. The cup’s flared silhouette echoes floral motifs found in ancient court vessels. The gift set includes a porcelain spoon, completing a harmonious trio for tea or coffee moments that value serenity and balance.
From hand-kneading and trimming to multi-stage glazing and reduction-firing, each piece undergoes 28 meticulous steps by seasoned Longquan artisans. The result is a translucent, jade-like surface with clean acoustics and a mirror-like finish — qualities treasured since ancient times.
Longquan celadon is famed for its pale green hues and symbolic refinement. In this modern reinterpretation, functional design is fused with centuries-old kiln artistry. The gently upward-opening lip and ergonomic form are tailored for contemporary use while preserving the soul of tradition.
Living Legacy of Song Dynasty Porcelain Art
Longquan celadon is one of China's most prestigious ceramic traditions, inscribed on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity list for its cultural depth and refined techniques. Its hallmark green glaze and "jade-like" clarity were once favored by royalty and exported across continents.
